HouseWaves Returns & Warranty

I want you to love your HouseWaves speaker or device.

If something isn't right, here's how I will work to make it right.

30-Day Returns

You can return any device within 30 days of delivery for a refund.

  • Contact me first.

  • For change-of-mind returns, you cover return shipping.

  • The unit must be in like-new condition, working and with the power supply (if included).

Defective or Dead-on-Arrival

If your speaker arrives damaged or dead, or develops a fault under normal use...

  • Contact me first.

  • I will repair, replace, or refund a defective or damaged item — your choice.

  • I will cover shipping both ways.

12-Month Limited Warranty

Every device is covered for 12 months from delivery against manufacturing defects: failed boards, driver failures and assembly faults not caused by misuse. This does not cover normal wear, accidental damage or damage from modification (see below).

Firmware Modifications — Encouraged, but exercise care.

HouseWaves speakers are meant to be flashed and re-flashed with whatever firmware you choose. Flashing custom or third-party firmware will not, on its own, void your warranty.

What I cannot cover is damage from modification or misuse, including:

  • A board bricked by an interrupted or incorrect flash. On sealed enclosures, physical recovery may not be possible — flash carefully and use OTA updates whenever possible.

  • A board damaged by using with misconfigured amplifier or pin settings. Some devices use PBTL and others use BTL amplifier modes. Configuring the incorrect mode will short out your amplifier.

  • Powering with a non-specified supply. Each HouseWaves device has specific requirements for their power supplies.

    • POWER SUPPLIES EXCEEDING 24VDC will damage your control board and your speaker.

    • POWER SUPPLIES EXCEEDING 12VDC will overheat and damage enclosed control boards.

  • Mechanical or electrical modifications, physical or liquid damage.
